Ana Kristina Gasteyer is an American actor, comedian and singer. The actress became well-known for her stint as a star in the NBC comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live in 1996-2002. In the years since, she's appeared in sitcoms such as ABC's Suburgatory TBS's People of Earth NBC's American Auto as well as the film Mean Girls. Gasteyer's professional career started at Northwestern University. She originally enrolled in a vocal major but moved to theater when she became involved in the university comedy troupe. She carried that same spirit throughout her other roles, such in the roles of Sheila Shay, the overly-controlling character from Suburgatory and Karen Grisham the eccentric agent on Lady Dynamite.
