Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is an Afghani lady born of an Russian father and mother who is a Hindu Indian mother. She fluently speaks German Russian English. Annet Mahendru, born in India, to her Russian father and an Indian mother, speaks fluently with both of the languages. An improvised performance she choreographed at the age of 11 that aired on German television, transformed her into a Russian dancer who was a snow maiden. She finished high school with a degree in New York and received a bachelor of Arts in English at St. John's University. The classes she took in acting were with the HB Studios, but then left to pursue improvisational comedy at The Groundlings School. Her family was brought up in Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru, as well as an Russian-speaking mother Olga. At the age of 13, her parents divorced and they moved her from Kabul Afghanistan, to East Meadow New York. Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys star in FX's The Americans.
